Enigmatec Appoints Former Sun Microsystems Chief Strategy Officer Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mark Tolliver Brings More than 30 Years of Industry Experience to Data Center Policy Automation Provider

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Enigmatec Corporation, a leader in policy-driven, data center automation solutions, today announced the appointment of Mark Tolliver as chairman of the Enigmatec board of directors. Tolliver is currently the chief executive officer of Palamida, a San Francisco-based software company focused on software intellectual property management and compliance.
Tolliver brings more than 30 years of experience in the high-tech industry to his role as chairman of Enigmatec's board of directors. Before Palamida, he was executive vice president, marketing and strategy, and chief strategy officer for Sun Microsystems. Previously, Tolliver served as president and general manager of iPlanet. iPlanet was established in 1998 as a strategic alliance between Sun and Netscape focusing on Internet infrastructure software. Prior to iPlanet, Tolliver served as president of Sun's consumer and embedded division.
In addition to Sun and iPlanet, Tolliver was vice president of marketing at MasPar Computer Corp. and spent 16 years at Hewlett-Packard Company. He received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S.E.E. from the University of Illinois.
