Professor Amos Fiat Joins the Discretix Technologies Advisory Board; A pioneer in Information Security Prof. Fiat will advise on research and product development as well as new security offerings for mobile computing devices

Prof. Fiat, who currently serves as a faculty member at Tel Aviv University's Department of Computer Science, is a leading figure and pioneer in the area of Information Security. Professor Fiat was the co-inventor, together with Prof. Adi Shamir, of the Fiat-Shamir Identification and Signature scheme. The Fiat-Shamir authentication scheme is widely used in cable and satellite television conditional access systems.

Prof. Fiat has made significant contributions in the area of Information Security, and is a member of several conference program committees including: Crypto, EuroCrypt, SODA, STOC, and others. Prof. Fiat is also an Editorial Board member of Theoretical Computer Science and Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science. He was also the co-founder of Algorithmic Research, which was later acquired by Cylink Corporation.
