Valpey Fisher Corporation Appoints Walter L. Oliwa to Senior Management Team

HOPKINTON, Mass. -- Valpey Fisher Corporation today announced the appointment of Walter Oliwa to its senior management team as vice president of R&D, reporting to Michael Ferrantino, Sr., president and chief executive officer. Mr. Oliwa brings to the team more than 20 years of experience in design and development in the electronics industry. Mr. Oliwa spent the last 13 years at Integrated Circuit Systems, Inc. (formally MicroNetworks), where he served in senior level positions. Prior to ICS, Mr. Oliwa held key engineering positions at Dymec Corporation and Picker Corporation. Mr. Oliwa holds a BSEE from Northeastern University and a Masters from Rensselaer Polytehnic Institute.

Valpey Fisher specializes in designing, manufacturing and marketing a broad range of quartz crystals, oscillator timing devices and ultrasonic transducers. Major markets for the company's quarts crystal and oscillator products include computer, networking, telecommunications, wireless, military and medical.
