Farmers Insurance Group of Companies Provides Insurance to Los Angeles Unified School District Student; Will be Presented at Dodger Stadium, May 17th

LOS ANGELES -- The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies is proud to announce it is providing one year's auto insurance to a Los Angeles Unified School District high school student. The student is a winner of the Count Me In! program - a program that helps students improve their school attendance.

The student will be honored at Dodger Stadium on May 17, 2005 during the pre-game ceremonies. Presenting the award from Farmers will be Kevin Kelso, President of Farmers Personal Lines. Farmers is also announcing it is giving its Y.E.S. program (You're Essential to Safety) - an award winning teen driving safety video and workbook - to every high school in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Farmers became involved with the Los Angeles Unified School District after it heard about their new campaign to improve student attendance district-wide in 2004-2005. The LAUSD program, called Count Me In!, is geared to increase student learning and graduation rates to prepare students for a positive future. The goal of the program is to engage students and improve their understanding about the importance of regular school attendance.
