Savi Technology Appoints Jack Acosta to Its Board of Directors; Acosta Also Elected to Chair Savi's Audit Committee

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Savi Technology, Inc., a leading provider of active RFID solutions for supply chain management and security, announced today the appointment of Jack L. Acosta to its Board of Directors. Acosta, who was also elected Chairman of the Board's Audit Committee, has more than 25 years of executive-level financial and operational experience in the technology industry.
"Jack's knowledge and experience in the technology industry, combined with his long-time leadership in overseeing financial operations, will help Savi to maintain proper controls, discipline and accountability across our business functions," said Vic Verma, Savi's President and Chief Executive Officer.

In addition to his Board position at Savi Technology, Acosta currently is on the Board of Directors at three other companies: Sumtotal Systems Inc., a public company providing learning and business performance technologies and services, Integral Development, a privately held financial services software company, and BenefitStreet, Inc., a private software company that manages benefits programs. He also previously served on the Boards of Commerce One, Tanon Manufacturing, Inc., and Ungermann-Bass, Inc.
Acosta previously served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Portal Software; Executive Vice President and CFO at Sybase, Inc.; President and Chief Operating Officer at Tanon Manufacturing; and, CFO and Executive Vice President-Corporation Operations, at Ungermann-Bass. Earlier in his career, Acosta worked in financial, operational and production management positions at Atari, Inc., Diablo Systems, Inc. and Ford Motor Corporation.
