Business Wire, May 19, 2005
NEW YORK -- R/GA, the New York-based interactive advertising agency, today announced it has hired four Account Directors for newly created positions in its Client Services department. The new Directors, Greg Faherty, Jenny Harris, Rob Pulciani and Gabe Weiss, have been brought on to drive the award-winning agency's ongoing growth. R/GA's Client Services department is rapidly growing as a result of new clients, expanded client relationships and R/GA's growth and diversity of offerings.
The new Account Directors have all distinguished themselves as well seasoned senior account leaders who bring an integrated mix of traditional, direct and interactive marketing experience to R/GA. Dawn Winchester, VP of Client Services, said, "We are excited to expand our account management team with such strong and experienced account specialists. They will help us deepen our marketing communications capability, especially as R/GA expands client solutions across the full consumer life cycle, from brand experience to consideration and acquisition to service and relationship management."
Greg Faherty, 39, was previously a Senior Partner and Account Director at Ogilvy & Mather NY, where he was the strategic and business lead for Motorola Corporate Brand and five of its business units. Faherty was also an Account Supervisor for IBM, where he was responsible for migrating IBM's industry Web sites into a one-to-one Web marketing platform and was World Wide Lead for key IBM programs and alliances. Prior to Ogilvy & Mather, Faherty was an Account Supervisor at Renegade Marketing where his clients included 24/7 Media, IBM, Nautica, Panasonic and Casio. Prior to that position, he was at Momentum IMC, a division of McCann Erickson. In his new position at R/GA, Faherty will be the lead Account Director on the Nokia North America account.
Jenny Harris, 32, joins R/GA after seven years as a Partner, Management Supervisor at OgilvyOne, where she managed integrated marketing campaigns for IBM and the 2000 Olympic Games, as well as many other digital marketing initiatives. For the American Express team, Harris led overall brand strategy, in addition to all online and digitally integrated communications worldwide. Prior to Ogilvy, Harris spent several years with the Martin Agency's Interactive division, MartinInteractive, as a Copywriter developing online work for Coca-Cola, Seiko, Saab, Geico and Gerber. In her new position on R/GA's Client Services team, Harris manages interactive initiatives for Johnson & Johnson.
Robert Pulciani, 31, comes to R/GA after having worked most recently at Y&R Brands/Wunderman, first as VP, Management Supervisor of AT&T Internet Services, then on the Microsoft team helping manage its global servers business. Prior to 2000, Pulciani was with McCann Relationship Marketing, where he worked on the launch of the Sprint On-demand Network and on the Microsoft account, where he helped lay the groundwork for the launch of Windows 2000.
Pulciani's specialty is leading fully integrated campaigns while bringing a deep understanding of customer insights and how these drive successful campaigns. He has overseen end-to-end marketing plans across several large multinational clients, including Microsoft, Sprint, AT&T, Novartis and Monster.com. In his new position at R/GA, Pulciani is responsible for leading the recently won Intel account, where R/GA is the lead agency for Web site development and other interactive experiential projects.
Gabe Weiss, 33, brings more than eleven years of account management experience working at interactive and traditional agencies, and has led strategic development for online CRM programs, dynamic Web site development and award-winning online marketing campaigns for leading packaged goods brands. Previously he was a Management Supervisor at Grey Interactive where he led the Gerber Baby Products account, integrating Web, CRM and media communications initiatives. As an Account Director with Novo/Blue Marble, Weiss led the Procter and Gamble account for three years with responsibility for online marketing of leading brands, including Pampers, Crest, Scope, Vicks and Folgers, as well as the landmark online launch of Crest Whitestrips, which included development of the Web site and acquisition programs through online marketing, affiliate programs and viral marketing programs. Weiss has previously worked in account management for major brands at other leading agencies such as American Express at Digitas, Sony and Warner Bros at Tribal DDB and Casio at Merkely Newman Harty.
