Determina Brings New Levels of Protection from Crippling Network Attacks with New Memory Firewall Release; SecureCore 2.1 Expands Application Protection and Cross-Platform Compatibility
Business Wire, May 2, 2005
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Determina(TM) Inc. today announced sweeping advances in customer network protection with the introduction of SecureCore 2.1. Based on Determina's award-winning Memory Firewall technology, this release provides important new application compatibility, as well as .NET and Java managed code support. These new features and other significant upgrades raise the bar for enterprise host-based intrusion prevention systems, ensuring customer protection from crippling network threats, without relying on signatures.
"The tremendous success of SecureCore to date has driven customer demand for expanded application and managed code compatibility in enterprise environments," said Matthew Powell, President and CEO, Determina. "SecureCore 2.1 meets this need, while simultaneously improving ease-of-use for networking and information security professionals."
"As Internet-based threats continue to become more sophisticated, enterprises must deploy increasingly intelligent layered defenses that detect and prevent problems before they damage vital assets," said Andrew Jaquith, security analyst at Yankee Group. "Products that proactively block memory-based attacks such as buffer overflows, the most prevalent and critical form of software flaw, prevent viruses, worms and spyware from taking root in endpoint systems."
