Infravio to Share Registry Expertise at InfoWorld SOA Executive Forum; Company Exec Brings Depth of Customer Experience in SOA Design, Governance, and Business Management of Web Services to Forum's ``Services and Contracts'' Session

Business Wire, May 2, 2005

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Infravio, Inc., a leading provider of SOA Web Services Management products, today announced that Jim Bole, vice president, products of Infravio has been invited to share Infravio's SOA registry expertise with attendees of the InfoWorld SOA Executive Forum. The forum will be held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, Calif., on May 5, 2005, and then at Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York, N.Y., on May 17, 2005.

In the "Services and Contracts" session held from 2:45pm to 3:30pm, Bole will draw on the company's tremendous depth of experience with customers' real-world business requirements for Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) design, governance, and business management of Web Services. The business-focused session will address the dual role contracts play in SOA. In a technical sense, contracts define interfaces and messages while in a business sense, contracts govern legal relationships. The session will discuss how SOA can help deal with these two kinds of contracts in a unified way.

A key facet of Bole's discussion will be the pioneering work Infravio has done on its Web Services Delivery Contracts(TM), which allow business users to configure relationships between the providing and consuming applications through an easy to use Web interface. This enables a single Web Service to be configured for dozens of service consumers without customizing the underlying service. It dramatically increases time to market and the speed of on-ramping new customers into your SOA.

"A successful SOA strategy hinges on reliable information from leading technologists and early adopters that have already begun to reap the benefits," said Kevin McKean, InfoWorld's CEO and editorial director. "Infravio's in-depth, long-term involvement with companies on the leading-edge of SOA makes it a valued contributor to the forum."

Infravio's Bole added, "SOA represents the biggest change in enterprise IT since the advent of the Internet. We've spent over 100 man-years refining the technologies that sit at the heart of the SOA revolution and are eager to share the lessons we've learned helping our customers refashion applications as services."
