Business Wire, May 23, 2005
ATLANTA -- HiSoft Technology Inc., a software outsourcing provider with partnerships and subsidiaries in the United States, China and Japan, today announced an agreement with BEA Systems (NASDAQ: BEAS) to resell the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform(TM), which includes the BEA WebLogic Server(TM), BEA WebLogic Integration(TM), BEA WebLogic Portal(TM) and BEA WebLogic Workshop(TM).
HiSoft's extensive experience in key vertical markets, including financial services, insurance, energy, transportation, manufacturing, logistics and e-commerce, complements the existing BEA sales channel. HiSoft will primarily sell the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform in the Eastern United States.
HiSoft provides IT services in application development and maintenance through an onsite-offshore model, which is designed to offer quality, security and process standardization at a competitive price. BEA provides the enterprise software foundation that is designed to help enable customers to benefit from service-oriented architectures through greater re-use of IT assets, faster delivery of value to the business, and greater adaptability to support ongoing change. As a BEA reseller, HiSoft can offer differentiated solutions designed to help customers save time and money, leverage existing and future IT assets and provide access to information while helping to eliminate unnecessary complexity.
"We are proud to be working with BEA, a leader in the Internet and J2EE space," said David Liu, CEO of DMK International, Inc., HiSoft's U.S. subsidiary. "The BEA WebLogic Platform can complement our existing offerings and can help us to continue to provide our customers with high-quality professional services and customized application development. With the support of our new international shareholders, our China outsourcing advantages and now the ability to offer BEA's WebLogic Enterprise Platform, HiSoft can establish itself as a leader in the enterprise software outsourcing market."
"We're pleased that HiSoft is expanding the reach of their software solutions practice by reselling the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform," said Robert Ontiveros, senior vice president of Americas Channels and Alliances for BEA Systems. "HiSoft can complement the BEA application infrastructure software offerings and can add value to better address the specific business requirements of our mutual customers."
