Xcelsius Steals the Show from Adobe with One-Click Integration of Flash into Acrobat PDFs; Enables the Secure and Reliable Distribution of Business Intelligence Dashboards Throughout an Organization

Business Wire, May 24, 2005

SAN DIEGO -- Infommersion, the industry leader in data visualization software, has launched the first one-click integration of "live," Flash-based data presentations and enterprise dashboards into Adobe Acrobat PDF documents. With this new feature, Infommersion's award-winning Xcelsius software gives organizations the ability to distribute management reports and BI dashboards widely and securely, leveraging Adobe's digital rights management technology (DRM).

With Xcelsius' Dynamic Documents(TM) feature, business users can easily share presentations and dashboards through point-and-click technology, exporting live Xcelsius models into the most popular business communication tools, including PowerPoint slides, Web portals, Outlook emails -- and now Adobe PDF files. Xcelsius data presentations remain interactive within the documents, even when offline. For example, a marketing executive could email a secure PDF document with an interactive "what-if" analysis of possible advertising expense scenarios, helping colleagues understand the financial impact of upcoming decisions.

Xcelsius' PDF integration expands the reach of critical business information beyond executives and into the hands of partners and employees who are key to successful execution. Any person designated with read-access to Adobe PDF files can assess the data and execute plans accordingly. Xcelsius' easy one-click export opens the door for end-users to create complex PDF documents that feature real-time reports, previously only developed by more advanced IT staff.

"Xcelsius leverages Adobe's enhanced DRM security and provides a reliable delivery mechanism for corporate dashboards and business intelligence reports," said Santiago Becerra, CEO and co-founder of Infommersion. "Xcelsius uses Flash animation and PDF files to turn existing static documents into rich reporting tools for improved productivity and shortened time-to-decision. Our software's Dynamic Documents feature is the first to marry these newly merged technologies, creating the only tool that truly brings business documents to life."

The one-click integration of Flash-based dashboards into Adobe PDF documents is available on Xcelsius XL Professional and Xcelsius Enterprise XE editions. The cost for Xcelsius XL Professional is $495. The Enterprise XE Suite, which includes Enterprise XE Developer and a 20-viewer Connected Presentation Access License (CPAL), is priced at $2,994. The dashboards and data presentations work with Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and higher. Xcelsius software is available by calling the Xcelsius sales team, by downloading the software from Infommersion's Web site or through authorized reseller partners.
