Global Inventures, Inc. Launches New Technology Management Practice; New Practice Will Support Specification Development, Interoperability and Certification Programs for Technology Standards Organizations

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Global Inventures, Inc., a management consulting firm for technology standards organizations, announced today the launch of its Technology Management practice. The program provides management services to drive best practice certification and technology advancement programs for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) standards organizations.
Service offerings include: strategic guidance in structuring specification development and selection; program management support for technology working groups; operational management of interoperability programs and "plug-fests"; design and operation of certification and branding programs as technologies evolve toward market adoption.

With the addition of a Technology Management practice, Global Inventures is able to provide a single organizational point for integrated go-to-market programs and a consistent operational framework to support the entire lifecycle of a technology initiative. The company's successful Virtual Business Service offering and Inventures Hosted Web Collaboration Tools provide the operational anchor for financial, membership support, administration, web site and account management functions. With the addition of technology management, clients have access to the full-spectrum of operational management services on-demand including executive management, marketing and events management, and now technology management.

Inventures has recently hired Rolf Bienert, a recognized industry expert in telecommunications certifications, to lead the Technology Management Practice as Director for Technology Programs. Rolf brings extensive experience in technology management and certification to Global Inventures, having driven all telecommunications certification programs for a leading third party testing and certification firm. Rolf has experience in DECT Certification; the DSL Forum Interoperability Program; FCC Certification; and has worked on certification programs for the Wi-Fi Alliance, ZigBee Alliance. He also has a strong knowledge of Bluetooth certification. Before coming to the U.S. Bienert held a variety of key technical and managerial positions with several leading telecommunications firms, including Deutsche Telekom. Bienert holds a BS in Telecommunications from the Technische Hochschule in Saarbruecken, Germany.
