Business Wire, May 24, 2005

CUPERTINO, Calif. & LONDON -- Two-Day, In-Depth Sessions Coming to San Francisco, Washington DC, Toronto, Munich, London and Paris

MySQL AB, developer of the world's most popular open source database, today announced a series of two-day training workshops designed to introduce developers and DBAs to the new enterprise features and capabilities of the company's forthcoming MySQL 5.0 product.

Being held in June across North America and Europe, these workshops will introduce experienced MySQL and database professionals to MySQL's implementation of advanced relational data management features such as stored procedures, triggers, views, cursors, XA and information schema.

"The MySQL 5.0 tutorials were all sold out at our recent users conference, so we decided to take the show on the road," said Ulf Sandberg, vice president of services for MySQL AB. "This is a great opportunity for database professionals to get a jump start on learning advanced techniques with MySQL 5.0 -- taught by MySQL's own senior consultants."
