Cypress Supports Lenovo Launch With Component Solutions; WirelessUSB and Other Cypress ICs Included in Innovative 2.4 GHz Wireless PC Peripherals

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:CY) today announced that its WirelessUSB(TM) radio system-on-a-chip will now be shipped in keyboards and mice manufactured by Lenovo, the world's third largest PC company after it successfully completed the acquisition of IBM's Personal Computing Division. The devices have been shipping in volume to IBM since December 2004 when it introduced the Enhanced Performance Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, which are now part of Lenovo's product portfolio.

Cypress's WirelessUSB is a natural technology fit for this Lenovo product. Innovative and easy-to-use, WirelessUSB is a high-performance, reliable wireless solution. It operates in the 2.4 GHz global ISM band, so customers can use it worldwide, regardless of regional frequency requirements, an important attribute for a global supplier such as Lenovo. In addition to WirelessUSB, the new keyboards and mice also include wired USB controllers and Programmable System-on-Chip(TM) (PSoC(TM)) solutions from Cypress.
