Business Wire, May 26, 2005
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The North American Computer Products group of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW) will host two new McAfee(R) Foundstone(R) Enterprise Product Training Management and Sales Courses on June 1 and 2 at The Sheraton Premier Hotel at Tyson's Corner in Vienna, Virginia.
Arrow expanded its training offerings after receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from McAfee solution providers to similar classes held on the West Coast in early May. Free to Arrow's McAfee solution providers, Arrow created the courses to provide attendees with deep product knowledge and informative insight surrounding vulnerability issues.
The courses offer combined lecture and lab environment to teach systems engineers and sales managers how to proactively manage network vulnerabilities and security threats, and how to gain maximum value from Foundstone Enterprise solutions.
"By helping our resellers to become further educated on security solutions such as McAfee's Foundstone Vulnerability Management solution, we believe we strengthen our resellers knowledge base and improve their value-ad in supporting and supplying their customers with the best technologies available in the security marketplace," said Kevin Powell, vice president, Enterprise Software, Arrow Electronics. "We are excited to extend the reach of our McAfee Foundstone sales and engineering courses to our east coast resellers."
The enterprise product training course will instruct system engineers to:
--Install, configure and efficiently utilize all of the features of the Foundstone Enterprise system.
--Navigate through the Foundstone product feature set and learn how to effectively deploy the technology.
--Learn vulnerability management best practices, which enable more efficient remediation and risk reduction.
--Learn to create, modify, enhance, and schedule scan configurations that adhere to specified criteria.
Designed to teach sales managers how to successfully sell Foundstone security solutions, the sales course objectives include:
--Teaching how Foundstone solutions mitigate clients' security risks.
--Teaching methods to effectively differentiate sales processes with Foundstone solutions.
"McAfee is once again excited to partner with Arrow to offer this exclusive product training and sales courses to solution provider systems engineers," says David Roberts, senior vice president, North American Channels, McAfee, Inc. "These new courses will allow engineers to have a deep understanding of potential risks and how to assess vulnerabilities for their business."
