SSI hubcity Named An Authorized U.S. Reseller of the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform
Business Wire, May 27, 2005
METUCHEN, N.J. -- SSI hubcity, the result of a merger between SSI, one of the largest IT solution providers in the Northeast, and Hub City Media, a web application and software development company, today announced an agreement with BEA Systems (NASDAQ: BEAS) to resell the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform(TM), which includes the BEA WebLogic Server(TM), BEA WebLogic Integration(TM), BEA WebLogic Portal(TM), and BEA WebLogic Workshop(TM).
SSI hubcity's proficiency in data lifecycle management, information security and software infrastructure development, as well as its established network in the Northeast and Colorado, complements BEA's existing sales channel.
SSI hubcity combines the proven expertise of SSI in data management, security and managed services with the software development talents of Hub City Media, giving customers a single source for both their integration and application needs. BEA provides the enterprise software foundation that is designed to help enable customers to benefit from service-oriented architectures through greater re-use of IT assets, faster delivery of value to the business, and greater adaptability to support ongoing change. As a BEA reseller, SSI hubcity can offer differentiated solutions designed to help customers save time and money by leveraging existing and future IT assets and provide access to information while helping to eliminate unnecessary complexity.
"The BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform enhances our existing offerings and can help us continue to provide our customers with comprehensive, multi-faceted solutions," said Tom Kuni, CEO and president, SSI hubcity. "More and more of our customers are moving towards a Web services infrastructure, and working with BEA -- a pioneer in this space -- we can meet this demand."
"We're pleased that SSI hubcity is expanding the reach of their software solutions practice by reselling the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform," said Robert Ontiveros, senior vice president of Americas Channels and Alliances for BEA Systems. "SSI hubcity can complement the BEA application infrastructure software offerings and can help add value to better address the specific business requirements of our mutual customers."
