Business Wire, May 3, 2005
PHOENIX -- Jobing.com, LLC, one of the nation's leading locally focused employment websites, announced today the finalization of its acquisition of the California Online Job Network, one of the leading local employment websites covering the entire State of California. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This, Jobing.com's second acquisition announcement within the last forty-five days, promises the integration of the California Online Job Network, Job Summit and Jobing.com and will position the local job board leader as the largest, most well trafficked job board in Southern California.
"The California Online Job Network (http://www.cajobs.com) brings significant power to the already strong alliance Jobing.com has formed with JobSummit in Southern California," said Aaron Matos, PHR, CEO and founder of Jobing.com, LLC. He continued, "Aligning the resources of the top two local job boards in the area with the marketing power of Jobing.com will bring exceptional value to the employers and job seekers using both local products."
"One meeting with the staff of Jobing.com convinced me that the California Online Job Network should become part of their organization," said Bill Kellaway, CEO and owner of the California Online Job Network. "Jobing.com's local job board approach is the best in the industry and their focus on community involvement will truly help employers and job seekers become better connected in communities across the State," Kellaway stated.
Along with the integration of JobSummit.com, Jobing.com will also work to integrate clients and job seekers on the California Online Job Network with its core technology, including enhancements and upgrades for both employers and job seekers using the service. A formal announcement regarding product transitions will be announced in the coming weeks.
