TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Ulead Systems, Inc., a 15-year industry leader in video, image and DVD software, has announced that it will show a new generation of consumer-oriented digital media software in suites 1330 and 1331 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel during Computex 2005 from May 31 - June 4, 2005.

Pocket Series Applications for Digital Home

Ulead is showing a new line of digital home consumer software applications at Computex. Dubbed Pocket Slideshow, Pocket DV Show and Pocket Backup, the products are designed for consumers who want to enjoy the benefits of digital media creativity without the need to learn -- or in some cases even install -- traditional application packages.

Pocket Series software is based on Ulead's award winning photo editing, DVD authoring and disc burning tools and are available to OEM customers in three configurations.

Unique "install-free" Pocket series applications incorporate application software and writable DVD media. The products are the first of their kind to enable consumer users to take advantage of digital media creativity without the need to install complex software or purchase separate blank DVD media discs.

Desktop versions of Pocket Slideshow and Pocket DV Show can be pre-installed on PCs and notebooks to add value to any hardware configuration. Movie Making for Sony PlayStation Portable

Also on display at Computex is an MPEG-4 plug-in for Ulead's recently released consumer video editing solution, VideoStudio 9. The plug-in enables users to output video for playback on the new Sony PlayStation Portable. Ulead's MPEG-4 plug-in makes VideoStudio 9 the first consumer video editing solution to allows consumers to take advantage of the powerful media playback capabilities of the new Sony platform.

Dual Core Ready

Ulead's VideoStudio 9 has now been updated for the next generation Dual Core processors. Dual Core technology significantly increases processing speed for CPU-intensive tasks such as encoding, rendering and previews.
