GE Commercial Finance, Commercial & Industrial Finance, Names Industry Leader for Construction & Transportation Focus

NORWALK, Conn. -- GE Commercial Finance, Commercial & Industrial Finance (CIF) has appointed Gene Leary as Industry Leader for the construction and transportation markets.
In his new role at GE, Leary will be responsible for driving organic growth in the construction and transportation industries, where GE's CIF has successfully invested over $3 billion predominantly through senior debt and lease transactions during the past 10 years. He will report to Craig Reynolds, Senior Managing Director, GE CIF.
"With his extensive background in financing and trucking, Gene is uniquely qualified to understand our customer's specific needs," said Reynolds. "His leadership skills will play a central role in our continued success in the construction and transportation markets."
Leary joined GE in 1997 and has most recently served as a Senior Vice President of Sales for CIF, originating financing opportunities in the Northeast. He has held various sales and sales management roles for over 20 years in lending and leasing. His experience includes acquisition financing, structured finance, leasing, recapitalizations and project finance to a broad range of customers.
Prior to joining GE, Leary held various origination roles with Citibank and Swiss Bank Corporation. He also was an Operations Manager for Roadway Express, Inc., a national trucking company.
Leary holds a BS in Economics from the State University of New York and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Columbia University in New York.
