Salomon Brothers Global Partners Income Fund Inc. ``GDF'' Announces a Dividend of $0.08600 Per Share for the Months of June, July and August 2005
Business Wire, May 5, 2005
NEW YORK -- The Board of Directors of Salomon Brothers Global Partners Income Fund Inc., which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "GDF," has announced a dividend from ordinary income of $0.08600 per common share. The dividend distribution schedule for June, July and August 2005 appear below:
Declaration Date Ex-Dividend Record Payable
---------------- ----------- ------ -------
June 05/04/05 06/10/05 06/14/05 06/24/05
July 05/04/05 07/08/05 07/12/05 07/29/05
August 05/04/05 08/12/05 08/16/05 08/26/05
In declaring the new rate, the Fund cited its positive returns over the past three years that have generated substantial gains, which, in turn, reduced the investment income available for distributions. This decline in investment income is a function of lower interest rates combined with the large volume of debt redemptions in the high yield market. In addition, the substantial spread tightening in the high yield and emerging debt markets has also reduced investment income.
The fund is reducing its dividend to match the current level investment income generated by the portfolio.
Salomon Brothers Global Partners Income Fund Inc., a non-diversified investment management company, is managed by Salomon Brothers Asset Management Inc, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Citigroup Inc.
