Lawson Expands Professional Services Offerings in Partnership with International IT Services Firm Xansa
Business Wire, May 9, 2005
SAN DIEGO -- Lawson Blended Professional Services(TM) Increases Lawson's Ability to Provide Specialized Services Ranging from Data Conversion to Product Customization at Low TCO
Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) today announced a newly formed Blended Professional Services(TM) (BPS) offering in partnership with Xansa. Lawson BPS adds off-shore capabilities to Lawson's already broad services offerings and is further evidence of Lawson's commitment to provide its clients with the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry.
Lawson BPS will provide clients with a blended team that taps Lawson's more than 410 trained and certified professionals and Xansa's 6,400 experienced employees. Services include technical integration, data conversion, custom extensions and custom reporting. Lawson will retain overall program responsibility as well as responsibility for technical design and development. For example, Lawson BPS initiatives could include system integration between Lawson applications and other enterprise systems, data conversions from existing, non-Lawson applications into newly installed Lawson applications, and development of custom reports and forms.
"Our clients are asking that we take on more direct ownership of their projects, and that we have a business model that does so in a cost-effective manner," said Brad Callahan, executive vice president, Professional Services, Lawson Software. "Blended Professional Services helps us do this by extending our services in areas where we had more limited involvement in the past. It also allows us to provide clients with more cost-effective options. It clearly represents the Lawson Manifesto in action."
The new service offering has been structured to be seamless to the client, with Lawson continuing as the primary point organization for client projects. The combined Lawson and Xansa teams will use the Lawson's proven methodology and other Lawson standards, ensuring that the services are delivered seamlessly to the client. Both organizations will have full-time dedicated leaders to support sales and delivery activity. The offering is exclusive to Lawson and Xansa.
