Black Duck Software Joins Open Source Software Institute

WALTHAM, Mass. & STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- Black Duck Software, Inc., the leading provider of software compliance management solutions, today announced that it has become a corporate member of the Open Source Software Institute (OSSI), a U.S.-based non-profit organization dedicated to the development and implementation of open source software solutions within the United States federal, state and municipal governments agencies and academic institutions.

This effort is part of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between OSSI and the Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) (http://pao.cnmoc.navy.mil). The three-year R&D program will explore the Navy's usage of open source software within the Naval Oceanographic Offices (NAVOCEANO) web services, scientific computing and enterprise architecture systems.
