NetManage Delivers Royalty-Free, Custom Adapters for All Enterprise Applications; NetManage Librados JCA Plus and BizTalk/.NET Adapters Built and Delivered on Demand for Any Packaged or Home-Grown Legacy Application
Business Wire, May 9, 2005
CUPERTINO, Calif. -- NetManage, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETM), a leading software company that provides solutions for accessing, Web enabling and integrating enterprise information systems, today announced its ability to produce and deliver custom adapters for any enterprise application within 30 days if the adapter is not currently available off-the-shelf. NetManage Librados(TM) Adapters deliver a comprehensive array of application, database and middleware connectivity, giving users immediate access to a full range of host and non-host and packaged applications. With NetManage Librados JCA Plus and BizTalk/.NET Adapters, there is no other software to install outside of the server environment. All adapters are 100 percent standards-based, licensed on a royalty-free source-code basis, allowing customers to avoid costly vendor lock-in.
"We spent months comparing solutions from several traditional EAI and adapter vendors and we found the cost of their solutions prohibitive, requiring expensive pre-payments, consulting and royalty fees," said Charles Norman, director of business development at Embarcadero Technologies. "The cost of the NetManage Librados source code license was just a small fraction of what we would have spent to develop the solution in-house and maintain all of the ERP systems required to develop, test and support the adapters."
"Meeting the individual needs of our customers is vital to our success. The development of cost-effective, custom NetManage Librados Adapters demonstrates our commitment to provide our customers with a rapid return on their IT investment," said David Richards, vice president and general manager at NetManage. "Contrary to traditional application integration tools that lock users into high-cost, proprietary solutions, NetManage Librados Adapters give companies an easy-to-use tool that is 100 percent standards-based."
NetManage Librados JCA Plus and .NET Adapters expose backend enterprise system functionality and data to any application server, Web server or stand-alone environment in real-time. Enterprise applications can be Web-enabled and integrated with business processes from other enterprise information systems with minimal programming effort.
