IMKO -Opleidingen- Selects WBT Systems as Trade Association Platform in the Netherlands; Professional Training Organisation To Manage, Deliver and Track Training Using WBT Solution
Business Wire, May 9, 2005
DUBLIN, Ireland -- WBT Systems, the leading provider of enterprise e-learning solutions, announced today that its TopClass e-learning suite has been selected to drive a new initiative in the Netherlands to train employees working in the Office Equipment sector. IMKO Opleidingen, the leading Dutch training provider, will offer a range of training programs and certified courses via its on-line learning portal using TopClass.
IMKO Opleidingen has been supplying training services for over 65 years. It focuses on a number of key sectors such as interior design and beauty therapy and works with the trade association in that sector to develop focused, results-oriented training and competency management programmes. The organisation employs 175 full-time staff and 150 freelancers. Every year over 25,000 students take specialised training courses offered by IMKO (Opleidingen). IMKO (Opleidingen) recently signed a number of contracts with trade associations to supply training courses and content for their member companies. The role and use of a (web) portal is a vital component of the project. TopClass was selected because it offered the best combination of competency management, certification and e-learning functionality. Using TopClass, it is possible to give each trade association its own learning portal, with training courses and competencies specific to that sector. The intention is that suppliers will soon be able to put their own product information and training courses on these portals so that employees will always have up-to-date information at their fingertips.
According to Declan Kelly, CEO WBT Systems, "We are delighted to be partnering with IMKO (Opleidingen). This deal builds on the momentum we have established in building a large network of partnerships with professional training organisations (PTOs), particularly in regulated environments. We have recently concluded major deals with companies in Europe and North America including LOMA, RegEd, Innovatia, Intuition and Vitesse."
