Palladium to Host Executive Event Featuring Speakers from Booz Allen Hamilton and Canon U.S.A.; Executive-Level Event to be Held at Hilton Times Square, New York, N.Y., on Thursday, Nov. 17
Business Wire, Nov 15, 2005
NEW YORK -- Palladium Group, Inc., a leading professional services firm enabling clients to execute strategy, today announced it will present an executive event titled "Building a Strategy-Focused Organization" with featured executive presentations from Booz Allen Hamilton and Canon U.S.A., Inc.
Recent research published in the Harvard Business Review suggests that organizations on average deliver only 60 percent of what their strategies promise. More than one-third of these companies achieved less than 50 percent. Worse yet, the causes of the strategy-to-performance gap appeared to be all but invisible to top management.

The bottom line: Organizations continue to struggle to connect strategy formulation and strategy execution. To close this gap, leading companies combine core management processes, a portfolio of tools and methodologies and an enabling information platform to reinvent every aspect of the management system to sustain a focus on the implementation of strategy. These Strategy-Focused Organizations link strategy to initiatives, operational plans, process improvements and employees' everyday lives to achieve performance breakthroughs.
The seminar will feature three presentations from which attendees will learn how to align processes, systems and people with strategy:
--Making Strategy a Core Competency -- Presented by Chuck Biczak, Assistant Director, Strategic Planning, Canon U.S.A., Inc. Learn how Canon U.S.A. created strategic fluency across the organization and strengthened company-wide understanding of its strategy. Hear how accountability was created at all levels and how a massive communications program called "democratizing strategy" has helped to make strategy a core competency for every employee.
--Enabling Strategic Change through Business Performance Management Processes and Tools - Presented by Kevin Cook, Director, Firm-wide Financial Reporting Systems, Booz Allen Hamilton. Hear a practical overview of how a large, privately held, international consulting firm is reshaping its financial and operating processes, measures and reporting systems in support of a new corporate direction.
--The 5 Principles of a Strategy-Focused Organization - Presented by Cary Greene, Managing Director, Palladium Group, Inc. Strategy execution is common terminology within most organizations today; however, many of them fail to execute their strategy for a variety of reasons. Learn about the five key principles of a Strategy-Focused Organization and see how execution can become the heartbeat of an organization.
