ABAQUS Announces 2006 Worldwide Users' Conference; Invited Lectures from Lockheed Martin and Dana Corporation combine with exceptional technical content to offer an informative, insightful event

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- ABAQUS, Inc., a Dassault Systemes' (DS) company (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) and the leading provider of advanced finite element analysis (FEA) software, will host the 19th Annual Worldwide ABAQUS Users' Conference (AUC), May 23-25, 2006, at The Charles Hotel, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. This three-day forum provides an opportunity for ABAQUS users around the world to meet and share experiences, to discuss current and future ABAQUS products and technology, and to learn about complementary partner solutions.
Activities planned for the 2006 AUC include:
--A welcome address from ABAQUS President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Goldstein, sharing business perspectives and outlining ABAQUS strategy
--Invited Lectures presented by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company and Dana Corporation
--Technical papers by ABAQUS users from multiple industries and geographies
--Presentations by ABAQUS technical staff on product directions and areas of technical interest
--Formal and informal customer focus group sessions
--The opportunity for social networking during receptions, breaks, and banquets
In addition, this year's event will again feature a technology pavilion where providers of ABAQUS-related products will be on hand to explain how their offerings can help contribute to a more successful engineering process. At the event, ABAQUS technical staff will be available to discuss new technology and functionality in the software and to discuss ideas for future versions of ABAQUS.
New to the event this year is an Image and Animation Contest. Authors of accepted contributed papers will have the opportunity to enter up to three images or animations related to their paper. Eight winners will receive free registration to one of the advanced instruction seminars along with a small gift.
