National Park Service and Library of Congress Contract SecureInfo for IT Security Compliance Software; Federal Civilian Agencies Adopt SecureInfo RMS for Compliance with FISMA Reporting

Business Wire, Nov 17, 2005

SAN ANTONIO -- SecureInfo(R) Corporation, a leading provider of technology and expert services which strengthen sustainable information security compliance, today announced two new federal government contracts. The National Park Service and the Library of Congress have purchased licenses for SecureInfo RMS(TM) as their information security compliance solution for Certification & Accreditation (C&A). These federal agencies join DHS, NASA, United States Air Force, United States Army and numerous other government organizations that have already partnered with SecureInfo to set a new standard in performing high quality C&A's.

Federal civilian agencies face multiple challenges in managing and implementing the Certification & Accreditation process as mandated by the E-Government Act of December 2002 and section one of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Agencies such as National Park Service and Library of Congress are under constant pressure to improve or maintain their FIMSA evaluation scores. Some of the common challenges Federal Civilian Agencies face are time-consuming and costly documentation and updating processes, the inability to view and manage enterprise-wide C&A progress, inconsistent results and the low quality of C&A's.

"Federal civilian agencies own the daunting task of not only achieving security compliance but also maintaining it. This task is complicated by virtue of the size and mission of a constantly changing enterprise," said Graham Palmer, executive vice president, compliance solutions at SecureInfo. "SecureInfo RMS, developed by security professionals, is the ideal solution for ensuring high-quality FISMA compliance."

SecureInfo RMS provides government clients with significant benefits that include:

--Standardized C&A baseline across NIST, DITSCAP and agency specific policies

--Complete, accurate inventory of any/all systems defined by a C&A boundary

--Centralized FISMA reporting and tracking

--Enterprise-wide management view and drill-down

--Consistent, repeatable and high quality C&A's

SecureInfo RMS is the automated enterprise-wide IT security compliance solution for the Department of Homeland Security and its 22 agencies as well as for many other Federal Civilian and Department of Defense organizations.
