Michael Dell Joins Industry Insider Line-up at 2006 International CES; Dell Joins Top Executives from Verizon and Kodak to Present at Innovations Plus at the Sands

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES(R)) today announced that Michael Dell, founder and chairman of Dell Inc., will deliver an Industry Insider presentation at the 2006 International CES. Produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA(R)), the International CES is the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow and takes place January 5-8, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dell's address is slated for Thursday, January 5, at 2:30 p.m. at CES' Innovations Plus at the Sands, a new CES venue which highlights emerging technologies.
"Dell is a leader in meeting the technology needs of today's consumers and businesses, from notebook and desktop systems to home networking, digital imaging, video and mobile entertainment, along with the service and support that customers need in today's technology-driven world," said Gary Shapiro, CEA's president and CEO. Dell joins Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg and Kodak President and CEO Antonio M. Perez as confirmed 2006 Industry Insider speakers. Other Industry Insider presentations include a one-on-one between Shapiro and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Kevin Martin and the Retail Power Panel featuring Brad Anderson, vice chairman and CEO of Best Buy; David Edmondson, president and CEO of Radio Shack; Alan McCollough, chairman and CEO of Circuit City; and Larry Mondry, CEO of CompUSA.
All 2006 Industry Insider presentations will take place at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in the Galileo room number 904. The Sands also is home to the all new Innovations Plus, which houses more than 500 emerging technology exhibitors, 75 conference sessions, the Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Awards honorees, more than 12 TechZones, CES partner programs, and an enhanced and expanded CES Unveiled.
