Salomon Brothers Emerging Markets Debt Fund Inc. Announces Distributions for the Months of December 2005, and January and February 2006

NEW YORK -- Salomon Brothers Emerging Markets Debt Fund Inc., which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "ESD," announced a December distribution totaling $1.0766 per common share, which is comprised of long-term capital gains. This distribution is in lieu of the Fund's regular distribution. The Fund also declared a distribution of $0.1200 per common share for the months of January and February 2006. The distribution schedule appears below:
