NetManage Joins JBoss Certified Partner Program; NetManage to Offer Librados JCA Adapters to Support Leading Open Source Middleware Platform
Business Wire, Nov 28, 2005
CUPERTINO, Calif. -- NetManage, Inc. (NASDAQ:NETM), a software company that provides solutions for accessing, Web enabling and integrating enterprise information systems, today announced a partnership with JBoss, Inc., the Professional Open Source company. As a JBoss Certified Solutions Partner, NetManage will offer Librados(TM) pure Java JCA Plus Adapters to enterprises building and deploying solutions on the JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite (JEMS). Using NetManage Librados adapters, Java developers can now quickly and easily perform complex application integration with leading enterprise information systems, such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, databases and middleware. NetManage Librados adapters complement additional JEMS product components by serving as performers in a JBoss jBPM process or orchestration and offering a compatible plug-in for JBoss Eclipse IDE.
"The NetManage and JBoss partnership offers open source developers a simple yet sophisticated integration solution to extend and expose back-end functionality of the JBoss Application Server or Web server environment, reducing complexity and time-to-value for customer integration projects," said Andy Murchison, vice president of worldwide alliances at NetManage. "By offering low-cost application connectivity, NetManage Librados further enables developers to realize the value of open source."
NetManage Librados adapters allow users to seamlessly interface to any back-end system, including both enterprise applications and mainframe systems. With a comprehensive suite of application adapters, back-end enterprise application functionality can be exposed in a wide variety of formats, such as XML and Web services. With Librados adapters, NetManage is driving out the prohibitive cost of enterprise application integration by offering flexible licensing options for independent software vendors, as well as low-cost server and site license options for end customers and comprehensive maintenance and support.
"Java developers work in a complex and heterogeneous environment of legacy and contemporary enterprise applications. JBoss certification of NetManage Librados adapters ensures customers have access to easy-to-implement standards-based adapters that integrate their existing systems and applications efficiently and affordably," said Tom Cooper, vice president of channels, JBoss, Inc. "With certified compatibility and interoperability for mission-critical, enterprise-wide application integration, NetManage is helping JBoss accelerate the use of open source middleware in the enterprise market."
JEMS is simply a better way for enterprises to transform their business through SOA (service-oriented architecture). As the market's only open source platform for SOA, JEMS offers a cohesive, plug-and-play alternative to today's pricey, monolithic software stacks. Enterprises can mix and match any market-leading JEMS products to build applications, processes and web services to drive business agility. JEMS products include JBoss Application Server, Hibernate, JBoss jBPM, JBoss Eclipse IDE, JBoss Portal, JBoss Cache and Apache Tomcat.
