Aruba Networks To Implement BigMachines Lean Front-End for Salesforce.com; The Fast-Growing Silicon Valley Wireless and Security Firm's Goal is to Streamline Front-End Processes for Channel Partners Across the Globe

Business Wire, Nov 30, 2005

CHICAGO & MUNICH, Germany -- BigMachines, Inc., the leading provider of configurator and quoting software solutions, announces that Aruba Networks, Inc. of Sunnyvale, California, has contracted to license and implement BigMachines' Lean Front-End(SM) for Salesforce.com to automate configuration and ordering of its complex high-tech products.

Aruba Networks is a fast-growing, mobility company positioned at the intersection of three of the hottest technology markets - wireless, security and convergence. The company builds high-performance wireless networking products that allow enterprises to seamlessly introduce secure mobility over their existing wired networks and manage those services from a single point. Aruba sells its products directly and through value-added resellers and systems integrators around the world. Its 1,000-plus worldwide customer base includes Fortune 500 companies and leading organizations in technology, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, transportation, and government.

According to Joe Etten, Aruba Networks Director of Worldwide Inside Sales, the company sought a deeply functional, on-demand solution to provide global channel partners with an efficient tool for guided selling and self-service configuration, quoting and order entry. "Above all, the solution had to be secure, easy to use and maintain, quick to implement and capable of integrating seamlessly with our Salesforce.com CRM system and back-office system," said Etten. "We chose BigMachines Lean Front-End because of its unique capabilities and its ability to work within the Salesforce.com interface. In addition, BigMachines was very responsive in working with us to ensure the hosted LFE was configured optimally to meet our complex product and business requirements."

Godard Abel, CEO of BigMachines, adds: "We are excited to partner with Aruba Networks and to play a role in the company's continued growth and success. We are confident that the LFE will provide the visibility and workflow collaboration Aruba is seeking to better manage its direct and reseller channels and will help their channel partners to be more productive, as well."
