International Public and Private Company Financial Expert Mark A. Zorko Elected to the Board of Directors of Guardian Technologies International, Inc

HERNDON, Va. -- Guardian Technologies International, Inc. (OTCBB:GDTI), a leading technology developer of intelligent imaging informatics (3i) solutions announced the election of Mark A. Zorko to the company's board of directors. A seasoned financial executive with international business experience and previous board level responsibility, Mark has spent the last 14 years in CFO and CIO roles for several public and privately held companies. He has published financial and information technology articles and has been a frequent speaker on a wide range of financial and technology topics. Mark will chair the audit committee of Guardian's Board of Directors and will serve as Guardian's audit committee financial expert.
Mark is a CFO Partner with Tatum Partners, LLP, a national firm with 500 CFO's and CIO's that consult for a wide variety of clients on financial matters, including engagements as CFO's. During Mark's tenure with Tatum, he has served as CFO for a $550 million energy firm and a $75 million equipment leasing firm. Additionally, he has assisted an $800 million manufacturing firm with a $360 million financing and an operational assessment of a $180 million business in Germany. Most recently he has been the interim Chief Accounting Officer for a $2.5 billion S&P 500 electronics firm.

Mark received his MBA from the University of Minnesota in 1977 and his BS in Accounting from The Ohio State University in 1976. He is a Certified Public Accountant, APICS certified, an advisor to Medspeed, Inc., and a past President of the Financial Executives International, Chicago Chapter. He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and has completed its Director Professionalism program.
