American Heart Association Volunteers to Educate Women About Heart Disease at Albertsons Stores Nationwide, Nov. 5; Los Angeles Albertsons Stores, Procter & Gamble to Support the AHA's Go Red For Women Campaign

Business Wire, Nov 4, 2005

WHO/WHAT: Volunteers and health educators from the
American Heart Association (AHA) will fan out to
Albertsons supermarkets throughout the nation -- including
those in the Los Angeles area -- to distribute Go Red For
Women pins, answer questions about the AHA and remind
consumers that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women
in the United States. Albertsons store pharmacists will
also be available to address heart-related questions from
            consumers.

To support the AHA's Go Red For Women education campaign,
Procter & Gamble will also donate $1 to the nonprofit
every time consumers purchase three selected P&G products
at Albertsons through the end of November. Both companies
hope to generate up to $50,000 for the AHA and boost
awareness of heart disease in women.

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005

WHERE: Los Angeles-area Albertsons stores

WHY: The American Heart Association launched the Go Red
For Women campaign in February 2004 to raise awareness
that heart disease is the No. 1 killer in women in the
U.S. Since 1924, the AHA has helped protect people of all
ages and ethnicities from the ravages of cardiovascular
disease and stroke, the nation's No. 1 and No. 3 killers,
which claim more than 927,000 Americans a year.
