IBM'S DB2 Database Tools Win 2005 Developers' Choice Award from Evans Data Corporation

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Evans Data Corporation announced today that IBM's DB2 database toolset has won the 2005 Developers' Choice Award for Best Database Tools. Based on the results from a survey of more than 400 database developers, IBM's DB2 database tools were rated the best overall database tools across eleven categories in the survey. The survey ranked eight top open source and proprietary databases used by the developers across these categories: Database modeling tools, Audit tools, Replication tools, Encryption tools, Debuggers, Tools for automated data propagation, Automatic runtime tracing, Tools for creating transaction rollbacks, Profilers/Performance optimizers, Database change migration tools and Editors/IDEs.
