Holleran spearheaded Philip Morris' anti-counterfeiting efforts in the U.S. and led the Company's comprehensive approach to combat the issues of counterfeit and contraband cigarette trafficking and related illegal activities. Under his leadership, the Company made significant progress in reducing counterfeit and contraband incidence nationwide and in eliminating illegal Internet cigarette sales. He played a leading role in the Company's strategies of engagement with law enforcement agencies, supporting tougher anti-counterfeit legislation, and filing lawsuits against retailers, wholesalers and others at every step of the illegal supply chain.
"Jack's unique front line experience in the fight against counterfeiting gives him a perspective that's immensely valuable to us and our clients," said GenuOne CEO, Jeffrey Unger. "With his expertise, we plan to enhance our service offerings to help our customers develop best practices in the fight against counterfeiting and grey market diversion, both online and offline."
"GenuOne's approach to brand protection - with its ability to address both the online and offline worlds and secure the entire supply chain - is what makes it stand out from the competitive crowd's fragmented approach," Holleran said. "GenuOne is one of the only companies with a solution that's comprehensive enough to help brand owners get their arms around the vast issue of brand protection management. I'm looking forward to working with GenuOne and the other advisory board members to keep the Company at the forefront of the anti-counterfeiting market."
The GenuOne advisory board also includes: Frederick Mostert, chief intellectual property counsel of Richemont; Larry Kellam, former Director of RFID for P&G, Inc.; Ron Griffin, former CIO Home Depot; Pat Rizotto, former Johnson & Johnson executive; Cam Neely, Former NHL All Star and Hall of Fame Boston Bruin; Nils Victor Montan, vice president and senior intellectual property counsel at Warner Bros.; Dan Kracov, partner at Patton & Boggs LLP, Pharmaceutical and Health Care Practice; Bill Gouveia, director of pharmacy, New England Medical Center; and, Chris Colfer, CEO of Dunhill.
