Business Wire, Nov 8, 2005

MEDFORD, N.J. -- Information Today, Inc. announced today that EventDV magazine has been honored with a Bronze "Eddie" award in the Media/Entertainment category by Folio magazine and its publisher, Red 7 Media. The magazine was honored at Folio's annual Awards Gala on November 1 at the New York Hilton.

EventDV, the Authority for Event Videographers, launched in January 2005. "The Folio awards are the most prestigious prizes in B2B journalism," said EventDV Group Publisher Bob Fernekees. "It's a testament to how far EventDV has come in its first year of publication to earn such recognition."

Folio received more than 1,600 entries for its annual Eddie awards, which recognize editorial excellence in 90 categories. The Eddie awards judges assessed the submissions based on how well the magazines fulfilled their mission statements, which were also submitted as part of the entry process. "We were really impressed with both the amount of entries as well as the quality of the entries," said Folio Event Director Amy Zucchi. "It is truly amazing to see such excellence within the magazine industry not only from publications that have been around for many years, but also from the brand new magazines on the block. You can see the passion and dedication just by reading the entry forms and mission statements."

"The Folio winners are the best of the best, and it's exciting to find ourselves in their company, especially in our inaugural year," said EventDV editor Stephen F. Nathans. "We've assembled a talented roster of columnists and contributing editors who are the leaders in the event video field. This is as much their award as ours."

Published by Information Today, Inc. of Medford, New Jersey, EventDV is a monthly magazine with editorial offices in Madison, Wisconsin.
