Most recently, the company announced that Cardmembers can now redeem Membership Rewards Points for all or part of the costs of their airline ticket, hotel room or cruise - anytime - directly on the American Express website (www.americanexpress.com/travel), providing them with the option to choose virtually any airline, as well as the ability to use Membership Rewards points instantly and without restrictions for travel.(3)

Once the Membership Rewards points have been redeemed, the points can not be converted back into your account. The credit to your Card account may not appear during the same billing period as the charge for your air, Lowest Rates Guaranteed hotel or cruise purchase. If the points redeemed do not cover the entire amount of the charge for your air, Lowest Rates Guaranteed hotel or cruise purchase, the balance of the purchase price will remain charged to the Card account you designate.
