Toshiba Appoints Jeff Barney Vice President of Marketing

IRVINE, Calif. -- Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. and provider of industry-leading portable computers, projectors and other mobile-related services and products, today announced that it has appointed Jeff Barney to vice president of marketing.
Barney will leverage his 15 years of experience with Toshiba to closely align the company's marketing programs with its business model. He will continue to report to Mark Simons, Toshiba Digital Products Division vice president and general manager. His responsibilities include navigating the company's marketing efforts with a focus on consumer/retail, B2B enterprise, channel, SMB, government, education and other vertical markets. Other responsibilities will include strategic business development and marketing communications, as well as expanding the company's customer base for its broad notebook and accessories product portfolio in fulfilling the company's mission to offer the premier mobile computing solution to its customers.

Most recently, Barney served as chief financial officer for the Digital Products Division responsible for business planning and all financial functions including accounting, planning, management innovation, sales support, and international sales.
