Sendmail Appoints Senior Vice President of Business Development to Drive Worldwide Expansion; John Stormer Transitions to Spearhead Partnership Strategy and Strengthen Leadership Position in Email Security

EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- Sendmail, a leading global provider of email security and infrastructure, has appointed John Stormer to senior vice president of business development. Formerly Sendmail's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Stormer will focus on building technology partnerships with industry leaders in order to deliver leading-edge email security solutions to large enterprises.
Previously, Stormer was the vice president of marketing at NorthPoint Communications, a national provider of DSL services. As one of the first members of NorthPoint's executive team, Stormer was responsible for growing subscriber volume by 100% per quarter, expanding its network to 30 metropolitan markets and building a channel of more than 160 ISP partners within two years. Stormer drove strategic marketing partnerships with Intel, Microsoft, Verio and RadioShack. Prior to NorthPoint, Stormer also held various marketing and business development positions within Sprint Corporation, Sprint PCS, Marion Merrell Dow (now Sanofi-Aventis) and AT&T.

Stormer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and economics from Westminster College in Fulton, MO, and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
