Marathon Technologies Completes Build-out of its Management Team

Gary Phillips, who joined the company in May of this year as President and CEO, has recently brought on Joe Impellizeri as Chief Financial Officer, Steven Keilen - Vice President Marketing and David Mazursky - Vice President Services. "I am thrilled with the new additions to our leadership team which adds proven industry expertise in these key functional areas of our business," stated Phillips.
Joe Impellizeri - Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Impellizeri comes to Marathon with a strong track record as a Senior Finance Executive. He most recently was CFO with software start-up Syncra Systems Inc. Prior to Syncra, Mr. Impellizeri held senior finance management roles with Compaq Computer Corporation, AltaVista Software Inc and Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr. Impellizeri's broad financial experience includes debt and equity funding, business strategy and operations as well as a history of growing early-stage, start up businesses.
Steven Keilen - Vice President, Marketing. Mr. Keilen has 20 years of marketing experience in technology companies ranging in size from Fortune 200 to pre-revenue start-ups. He joins Marathon from Stratus Technologies where he was Vice President, Industry Marketing. Prior to Stratus, Mr. Keilen was Executive Vice President at Interactive Silicon, an early stage start-up. Previous, he was Chief Marketing Officer at Forgent Networks (formerly VTEL), a conferencing and broadband service provider. Mr. Keilen was Marketing Director, Compaq Computer Corporation. He also held key marketing and management positions in the US, France and Japan over 12 year period with Hewlett-Packard Company.
David Mazursky - Vice President, Services. Mr. Mazursky brings a proven background in building professional services organizations, as well as providing leadership to technical support functions. He comes to Marathon from Lucent Technologies' Network Systems Group where he led their new product introduction organization in design and deployment of Next Generation VoIP products. Previous, he led Professional Services for Telica, Inc. where he built their professional services business prior to its acquisition by Lucent in 2004. Prior, Mr. Mazursky held senior management positions at Archstone, Stratus Technologies, Ascend Communications and Data General Corporation.
