RedPrairie to Acquire Retail Supply Chain Solution Provider; RedPrairie's acquisition of RangeGate will provide enhanced visibility, compliance and execution along with in-store capabilities for retail customers

WAUKESHA, Wis. -- RedPrairie Corporation, a global leader in supply chain technology solutions that enable business process transformation, announced today that it plans to acquire RangeGate Mobile Solutions to expand the company's product offerings. Based in the UK, RangeGate provides software and mobile solutions for managing visibility, compliance and execution in warehouses and stores.
RangeGate offers transaction management and process flow control solutions that provide labor and task management efficiencies through the supply chain, right up to customer delivery. Product offerings include Instore-Edge which is used in retail operations to manage product, staff and processes; Logistics-Edge which is used for proof of delivery for parcel and home delivery; and Warehouse-Edge which optimizes mobile activity including Voice, and extends warehouse functionality at the front-end of existing WM systems, including ERP and legacy. RangeGate customers include Sainsbury's, with home shopping operations in 100 stores throughout the UK; Scottish and Newcastle, the UK's largest brewing company; and Vision Express, a leading vision ware supplier.
