LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Will Offer Live CDP Demonstrations on Show Floor, Participate in SNIA Interoperability & Solutions Demo and Present During the SNIA Tutorials and Data Protection Tracks

Revivio Customer Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corp. to Present an End User Case Study and Participate in Disaster Recovery Panel Discussion - Named Finalist for SNW Fall 2005 Best Practices In Storage Award

Revivio(R), Inc., a leading provider of continuous data protection (CDP) solutions, today announced that it will be at the center of many events designed to educate customers on the benefits of continuous data protection at Storage Networking World (SNW), Fall 2005, being held October 24 - 27 at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando, FL. Revivio will offer live demonstrations of its Continuous Protection Systems (CPS), take part in the Storage Networking Industry Association's (SNIA) Interoperability & Solutions Demo, and Revivio founder and chief technology officer, Michael Rowan, will present several data protection tutorial sessions at the event. Hal Weiss of Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corp., a Revivio customer, will also speak on CDP during the End User Case Studies Track as well as, particpate in a Disaster Recovery End User Panel Discussion.

The Revivio demonstration, in booth C19, will feature its enterprise-class CPS 1200, as well as the newly announced CPS 1200i and CPS 1200 Replication Module. Attendees will have the opportunity to see first-hand how the CPS 1200 delivers an enterprise-class CDP solution that allows companies to eliminate the time (window) required for backups, instantly restore data to any point or event in time, and to recover business applications in just minutes. Revivio's newly announced Replication Module enables disaster recovery (DR), while the CPS 1200i extends the benefits of CDP to applications outside of the primary datacenter.

This year's SNIA Interoperability & Solutions Demo will depict the fictional Acme Corporation. Each participating vendor will demonstrate its technology solving a specific real-world business challenge for Acme. Acme will use a Revivio CPS 1200 system to eliminate its backup window. Mich Fisher, co-chair of the SNIA Data Management Forum, Data Protection Initiative and the CDP Special Interest Group (SIG) explains, "CDP from Revivio allows Acme to backup without impacting revenue generating applications, instantly restore if necessary, and decrease operational costs by streamlining processes."

Mike Rowan's tutorial, entitled, "Disk-Based Data Protection Technologies," will take place on Monday, October 24 from 4:40 p.m. - 5:25 p.m. It will provide technical details on the use of storage networking technologies that are currently available to achieve advanced levels of data protection and recovery. Several different approaches will be covered, including Virtual Tape Libraries (VTL), snapshots (including split mirror and a variety of differential snapshot approaches) and CDP.

Mike Rowan's Data Protection presentation, entitled, "Implementing Disaster Recovery Using CDP," will take place on Tuesday, October 25th from 4:55 p.m. - 5:40 p.m. It will illustrate CDP technology helping businesses to meet disaster recovery (DR) requirements. Through liberal use of customer implementation examples, Mike will discuss various replication technologies, provide an introduction to CDP, and demonstrate how combining CDP and replication provides customers with a powerful DR tool.

Hal Weiss, of Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corp., will participate on the "Disaster Recovery Perspectives" End User Panel Discussion on Tuesday, October 25th from 11:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The panel will be moderated by Jon William Toigo, founder and senior analyst, Toigo Partners International LLC and include senior IT executives from Auto Warehousing, Pacific Capital Bancorp and Rent-a-Center, Inc.

Weiss will also make a presentation entitled, "Continuous Data Protection in Healthcare" on Thursday, October 27th from 9:25 a.m. - 10:10 a.m. During this session, Weiss will discuss the ever-increasing digitization of medical information - not just in radiology, but throughout the hospital - necessary for daily operation. He will detail the challenges he faces daily in protecting this data to ensure business continuity as well as to meet regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Finally, he will outline his implementation of CDP technology, including initial expectation setting, planning and project implementation, testing procedures, security analysis and acceptance measurement as well as, ongoing operation.

On Friday, October 14, 2005 it was announced that Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corp. was named one of five finalists in the SNW Fall 2005 Best Practices in Storage Awards Program in the category of "Innovation and Promise." The two top Award Recipients in each category will be announced at the SNW Gala Dinner, which will include the Awards Ceremony and live entertainment, on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m.
