ATMs Cut the Cord to Local Phone Companies; NexTran Group Provides Less Costly Internet Connections at Three Times the Speed of Dial-up
Business Wire, Oct 21, 2005
SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The days of tapping your foot and waiting for an ATM to spit out your cash may just about be over.
NexTran Group, LLC has introduced a new communications product for ATMs that provides reliable and fast ATM connections using a simple Internet protocol called IP, or wireless connections.
The new product, sold by NexTran Group's processing company, Innobeta Systems, can reduce costs by 30 percent and process transactions three times faster, say customers who have used the product.
"We're no longer at the mercy of local phone companies," said Tom Ronalo, president of ATM Cash World, a leading Pittsburgh-based ATM seller and installer. "In addition to significantly reducing our monthly expenses, ATM installations are easier and we save about $300 per install."
The Innobeta product, the Transexpress 4000, enables standard dial-up ATMs to send transactions using IP, said Eric Park, president of Innobeta. "The solution requires no change to existing ATMs," he explained.
Park called Transexpress 4000 the "ideal choice" for ATM operators who provide mobile ATMs for such events as fairs, concerts, and other temporary locations.
