Get Ready to Shake Your Tail Feather to the Sounds of Walt Disney Records' ``Chicken Little Soundtrack''; Featuring Fresh Hits from Patti LaBelle and Joss Stone, The Cheetah Girls, Barenaked Ladies and Five for Fighting
Business Wire, Oct 25, 2005
BURBANK, Calif. -- On November 1, 2005, Walt Disney Records releases the brand new "Chicken Little Soundtrack." Complementing the November 4 theatrical release of Walt Disney Pictures' computer animated "Chicken Little," the soundtrack features nine songs and six score tracks from the movie.
Original tracks include the film's opening song "One Little Slip," written and performed by Barenaked Ladies; "Stir It Up," an inspired duet between Patti LaBelle and Joss Stone; and "All I Know" performed by John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting. Multi-platinum recording artists The Cheetah Girls contribute a rump-shaking version of the Ray Charles classic "Shake a Tail Feather." The six all-new, original score tracks -- including "The Sky Is Falling," "Chase to Cornfield" and "Driving With Dad" -- were composed by Academy Award(R) nominee John Debney, whose list of credits include "The Passion of The Christ," "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" and "Spy Kids."
In Disney's "Chicken Little," our hero is on a mission to live down that unfortunate "acorn incident." You know the one when he shouted, "The sky is falling!" causing mass chaos in the town of Oakey Oaks and earning him the title of town fool. All Chicken Little wants now is to wipe this embarrassing incident from the town's memory and move on with his life. But just as things are starting to go his way, a real piece of the sky lands on Chicken Little's head. This time the sky really is falling! But with his history of hysteria, who's gonna believe him? Only his band of misfit friends, Ugly Duckling, Runt of the Litter and Fish Out of Water, are there for him. The future of the earth now depends on a duck, a pig, a fish and a hapless, but determined, little chicken.
The "Chicken Little Soundtrack" also includes "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" performed by the legendary Diana Ross, "It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" by R.E.M., "We Are the Champions" performed by Chicken Little, "Wannabe" performed by Abby Mallard and Runt of the Litter and "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" performed by The Chicken Little Cast.
On November 1, 2005, the "Chicken Little Soundtrack" will be available for a suggested CD retail price of $18.98 wherever music is sold. All Walt Disney Records audio products also can be ordered by visiting DisneyRecords.com.
