S&P Lowers GLOBAL DiSCS Trust 2004-1 Rating on Delphi Bankruptcy

TORONTO -- Global DiSCS Trust 2004-1 (TSX:DST.UN) -
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services lowered the credit rating on Global DiSCS Trust 2004-1 (to 'A-' from 'AA-'. An obligation rated 'A' still has a strong capacity to meet its financial commitments as they become due. The downgrade on Global DiSCS Trust 2004-1 reflects primarily the lowering of the corporate credit rating on Delphi Corp. to 'D' from 'CCC-'. The Units of Global DiSCS Trust 2004-1 are listed for trading on The Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "DST.UN".
