"We understand that internal resources for managing complex testing programs may not always be available, especially on short notice. Our Global Services' engineers supplement an agency's internal capabilities with IPv6 test methodology and network operations expertise, and have the security clearances necessary to assist agencies on both classified and non-classified requirements," said Ellen Hall, Spirent Federal Systems President.
Requirements of the OMB memorandum M-05-22 include IPv6 transition planning and progress, IP device inventory, and an impact analysis. Spirent Global Services for IPv6 include an:
--IPv6 Implementation Service, which involves managing all facets of installing Spirent IPv6 test solutions into an agency's test bed - from site readiness analysis to physical installation and systems configuration,
--IPv6 Testing and Support - working with or leading an agency's IPv6 transition team to help streamline the internal effort and overall transition to IPv6,
--Network Security Assessment - assistance in assessment of an agency's network vulnerability and performance before, during and after the transition to IPv6, and
--Test Services - objective, expert analysis to support an agency's decision-making on a range of topics from selecting new devices to assessing the robustness of a transitional network to seeking the most promising path to improved network performance.
