Business Wire, Oct 26, 2005
BOSTON -- TD Banknorth to host Kid's Clubhouse at Celtics Home Games
The Boston Celtics and TD Banknorth have entered into a multi-year partnership, with the Celtics designating TD Banknorth as the Official Bank of the Boston Celtics. The partnership will encompass a wide variety of joint marketing and community initiatives including the unveiling of a new community section at the Celtics home games, the TD Banknorth Kid's Clubhouse.
In addition, the Celtics and TD Banknorth will activate their partnership through various promotional and marketing programs, including unique and exclusive retail promotions for TD Banknorth customers, prominent in-arena fan interaction promotions, as well as various branding opportunities through Celtics' publications and broadcasts.
The TD Banknorth Kid's Clubhouse will be a community based, children's program that will bring more than 800 children to Boston Celtics games this season. The children that will be part of the TD Banknorth Kid's Clubhouse will be chauffeured by limousine from Limousines by Liz to the TD Banknorth Garden. During the game, they will be treated to loge seats, dinner, t-shirts and will be featured on the arena Jumbotron and on FSN New England. TD Banknorth Kid's Clubhouse is another example of how TD Banknorth goes "Above and Beyond" for children in the community.
"The 2005-2006 season is shaping up as an exciting year for Celtics fans, and we are pleased to be working with TD Banknorth as a prominent team sponsor and valued partner in the community " said Wyc Grousbeck, Managing Partner and Governor of the Boston Celtics. "We look forward to a longstanding relationship with TD Banknorth as the Official Bank of the Boston Celtics and are happy to be playing in 'The Garden' once again."
"This partnership with the Celtics is a natural for TD Banknorth and complements our existing sponsorships of the Garden and the Boston Bruins," said William J. Ryan, TD Banknorth Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "The Boston Celtics have a long history of going above and beyond for their sport and their fans, and we look forward to being a part of their future success."
