HOLLYWOOD -- Big Screen Entertainment Group (OTC:BSEG) is proud to announce the hiring of Linda Monterrubio-Whaley to head up the distribution and sales for the company's full slate of projects.
Whaley has been working in the distribution arena for 13 years, most recently as a consultant for First Look Media specializing in sales to the ever expanding Latin American marketplace.
From 1998 to 2003, Whaley served as Vice President of International Sales at Peakviewing Media Inc. where she was responsible for the day to day operations and record growth of the Latin American/U.S. Sales Division. Under Whaley's direction, sales tripled and from 1999 to 2002 she was the company's number one sales representative.
Whaley also served as Director of Sales for Alliance Television International. She supervised sales agents throughout Asia and opened the marketplace to Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay which had previously been untapped, lucrative resources. While at Alliance, Whaley increased overall sales by 165% with a 207% growth increase since 1995.
A graduate of USC Business School with an emphasis in international finance, Whaley is fluent in English and Spanish and conversational in French. She also has extensive experience evaluating film catalogues and has worked in that capacity as a court appointed trustee.
BSEG CEO, Kimberley Kates stated that, "Following our company's blueprint of establishing a foothold in the ever important distribution arena, I am quite pleased to be bringing Linda on board. With the exponential growth in the Latin American film and television marketplace, as well as with Linda's recent experience in Europe and Asia, we feel that we will be strongly represented at the upcoming American Film Market and subsequent film and television markets throughout the world."
