North Island Credit Union Selects Corillian to Enhance Online Banking Services for Consumer and Business Banking; Corillian's Industry-Leading Approach to Online Banking Features, Usability and Security Were Key Decision Factors
Business Wire, Oct 3, 2005
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Corillian Corp. (Nasdaq:CORI), the top provider of online banking, online payments and anti-fraud solutions to leading financial institutions, today announced that North Island Credit Union, a $1.5 billion credit union headquartered in San Diego, Calif., has selected Corillian as its partner to deliver next-generation consumer and business online banking services to North Island's nearly 125,000 members.
North Island Credit Union selected Corillian's consumer and business banking applications for their depth of features, usability and security. Corillian's breadth of existing and emerging online features was in line with what North Island Credit Union wants to deliver to its members. Also, Corillian's industry-leading approach to proactive security and authentication was key to North Island's online banking strategy. In addition, with North Island Credit Union's growing Hispanic member base, the ability to efficiently deliver online banking services in English and Spanish were critical.
"The Corillian consumer and business banking applications will help us more effectively address the growing needs of our key member segments," said Scott Williford, First VP, relationship development and head of e-Commerce of North Island Credit Union. "Our growing youth segment prefers the online channel for a majority of its transactions and our members in the baby boomer generation have the busiest lives and place the highest value in 'hyper-convenience' above everything else. The state-of-the-art online solutions and security that Corillian delivers will enable us to continue addressing our brand promise of being 'easy to do business with' and continue delivering exceptional value to our consumer and business members."
Corillian Consumer Banking will empower North Island Credit Union's members to securely analyze, manage and control their finances from the convenience of any online access point. The personalization capabilities within Corillian Consumer Banking will also make online banking easier and more convenient for members. The application will provide a fully-functional bill payment service, giving the member complete control of their payment activity. Another key feature available is the integrated self-service, which improves the online experience for members, while lowering cost of service for North Island Credit Union by offering a broad range of self-service functionality.
North Island's business members will have enhanced business banking services including the ability to send and receive ACH or Wire transfers to and from any account, as well as tiered authority, which allows the business owner or office manager to delegate business functions to employees based on job requirements and responsibility. In addition, tiered authority enables the business owner to set different levels of access and transactional capability based on an employee's role. This functionality allows managers to distribute work effectively and securely, saving the business time and money.
"Our new partnership with North Island Credit Union further demonstrates our commitment of providing leading online financial services to the credit union community," said Alex Hart, president and CEO of Corillian Corporation. "The unrivaled usability and security available in the Corillian consumer and business banking applications will be a great asset to North Island Credit Union. We are excited to be working with an innovative credit union like North Island to help meet its online goals and objectives for its growing member base."
