Atlanta Gas Light and News/Talk 750 WSB Solicit Nominations for the 2006 Shining Light Award

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Gas Light (AGL), a subsidiary of Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE: ATG), and WSB Radio announced today the call for nominations for the 2006 Shining Light Award. E[acute accent]Established in 1963, the prestigious Shining Light Award each year recognizes an outstanding Georgian who has inspired the lives of others through community service. The award is an ever-burning old-fashioned gas light. E[acute accent]Past recipients include: Alana Shepherd (2005); the late Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson (2004) former President Jimmy Carter; Ambassador and former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young; entrepreneurs and philanthropists J.B. Fuqua and Truett Cathy; and baseball legend Henry "Hank" Aaron, to name a few.
