DEARBORN, Mich. -- Close your eyes and hold your breath And pass you through the gates. Greenfield Village filled with spooky thrills, just straight ahead of you awaits. Paper lanterns, colored streamers, corn stalks, straw, and wheat. Hear the music, join the fun; It's a party on Main Street. As you stroll through Sleepy Hallow, but careful now and watch your back. For the horseman tends to follow.

Halloween in Greenfield Village is a spectacular celebration, unlike you've ever seen. The entire village is transformed in a holiday haunt with surprises at every turn.

Tickets for the Hallowe'en program (formerly a member-only program) running October 13-16, 20-23 and 27-30, are $12 and on sale now. Tickets are timed for every half hour from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and can be purchased through our website www.thehenryford.org or by calling 313-982-6001. Advanced reservations are required.

Mischief and mystery lurk in every corner of Greenfield Village as visitors traipse in time to the early 1900s. Walking scarecrows and talking ghosts line the autumn-colored streets as children of all ages, collect a trove of treats at stations along the various routes.

The historic districts turn into favorite Hallowe'en haunts filled with lavishly clad characters based on costumes and traditions of this era.

"Our program brings all of the costuming, decorating and celebrating from the nineteen teens and turns into an event that transforms the village into a mystical and magical Halloween celebration," said Christian Overland, director of Greenfield Village. "Everything about this program is unique, from the characters, to the stories told, to the treats consumed. It's not to be missed."
